The Mountain Vista Governor's School (MVGS) for Math, Science and Technology is a regional program for academically talented and highly motivated 10th, 11th and 12th grade students serving Clarke County, Culpeper County, Fauquier County, Frederick County, Rappahannock County, Warren County, and Winchester City.

MVGS offers a program of courses in science, mathematics, humanities, and research that are uniquely integrated to provide a college-level, project-based learning environment. The half-day program is offered at two campus sites: Lord Fairfax Community College in Middletown and Lord Fairfax Community College in Warrenton..

The MVGS instructional day is 4.5 hours: 3.5 hours at an LFCC campus site and 1 hour of web-based instruction.

MVGS students are provided the opportunity to earn college credit through a dual enrollment program on a college campus, as well as the option to take appropriate Advanced Placement examinations.

Students wishing to enroll must submit an application in late winter and be accepted by the local school division selection committee according to the yearly timeline. Each school division has established the number of participation slots for its students.
