Rigorous Academics

All Jackson River Governor's School classes are college courses taught by college staff. These courses are among the most challenging offered by Dabney S. Lancaster Community College. Students graduating from the program will complete at least eleven college classes and earn a minimum of 37 college credits. Requirements include classes in research, biology, chemistry, physics, statistics, advanced pre-calculus math, and calculus. Students develop a peer group whose members have high intellectual abilities and aptitude which creates a level of challenge and camaraderie not readily available in their home schools.
